Just ordered a new complete gasket set and a set of stainless allen-head engine bolts. Goodbye oil leaks and stripped phillips-head bolts!!!
Also yesterday I re-routed my front brake line and throttle cables to accommodate the clubman bars.
I am slowly chipping away at the list of things to do. Perhaps I should do the same to my list of school work to do too.
Time to go calculate some soil cation exchange capacity and study pedogenic processes.

Howdy TJ, I have been rebuilding a CB360T myself lately....Mine had been sitting in a garage since 1985. I've worked on many cars before, but never a motorcycle. The brake fluid in the master cylinder had ...crystalized into an orange spongy
ReplyDeletesubstance, and the gas in the tank had evaporated and left a thick varnish residue.....It is a zero/minimal budget so far..I am in need of the START button/switch,
and I Don't want to remove the wires from the handlebar. I'd prefer to just re-solder a new switch to the old cable. I wish I knew why the start switch has 3 leads to it instead of 2. My old switch came out in pieces, but there are 3 wires to the switch.
I had to let both carbs soak for a couple of days in carb cleaner to dissolve the varnish.
But I think they will be fine W/O any new parts since I have meticulously cleaned each piece!!
Anyway I'm about to brave the hoards of mosquitoes in my garage and see if I use a Radio Shack Momentary pushbutton switch as a temp. fix but I'd prefer a Honda part....
It's been interesting reading about your experiences with your CB360....how about posting a recent pick ???
